Layaway Plan & Trade-In Plans

LAYAWAYS

For a deposit of 50% we will put your new bike on layaway and give you 3 months to pay. You must pay 25% the second month and 25% the third month. Please note that all deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE! If you do not pay on time, then your bike will be sold and you will not get a refund! This plan is only for serious buyers and not intended to hold a bike while you shop around. Your bike will remain on the showroom floor until it is paid in full.

TRADE-INS

We do not purchase bikes because we do not have a Used Goods License (aka Pawn Shop License) and do not want to deal in stolen bikes! However we may be able to offer you a Trade-In on a new bike, (as outlined by King County Law) depending on the condition of your bike and our shop inventory needs at the time. ID is required. We will give you 25% of Fair Market Value (Craigs List or Ebay) in credit towards a new bike.

KIDS TRADE-UP PROGRAM

We understand that a bike is a big purchase and parents are concerned their kids will outgrow the bike too fast, so we offer this plan:

Buy a kids bike from us and if within 3 years your kid out grows it, bring it back and tade it in for a new bike!

This program only applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

The first year we will give you 50% credit, second year 35% and third year 25%
Lower values will be offered for bikes not purchased from us, in worse condition or past the 3 year mark.
Bike must be in good riding condition.
Any repairs required will be deducted from the credit amount.
Normal wear and tear expected and accepted but will be determined by Rat City Bikes.

Credit must be used at time of trade-up toward a new bike of equal or greater value.
Cannot be combined with other offers or promotions.
No credit given for accessories or modifications.
Trade-In Value is in the form of store credit and must be used at time of new bike sale.
